theFlame in Print

For more than fifty years, the Flame has been celebrating the creativity of Upper School students, The first issue was published in the 1963-1964 school year. Those were the days of layout boards, the t-square and triangle for accurately cropping images, math (!) for resizing images proportionately, and bluelines that the staff and faculty advisors would use to proof poems and stories. We’ve come a long way from those days, but one thing has been unwavering–our commitment to honoring the talent of student writers and artists.
